Where best to dispose DVD's CD's?

    well its new year and I have been thinking of getting rid of a load of ancient computer CD's that used to come with magazines years ago - would they go into recycling bin (blue) or the Black landfill bin - I know where they should go in the blue recycling bin but I thought I heard read somewhere they have to go in the black landfill bin. seems a shame that it could take 250years for them to disintegrate or whatever it is them being plastic! - Charity shops will no longer accept them or film/music DVD's these days it seems.
