New grinder choice

While the grinder on my Sage Barista Pro is still working I am considering upgrading the grinder. I have read a little about the Niche Zero - not sure how to get one in Ireland - and the Eureka Mignon. Any experience advice welcome. Down the line I might upgrade the coffee machine to a Rocket Appartemento or a Profitec. I'm not expert but have been making coffee with the Sage for about 5 years.

Are you grinding for espresso or filter or both?

I think the VAT on the niche zero makes it a bit too expansive, unless you can get it delivered to NI.

Pretty much espresso only. In fact I make latte, I don't drink espresso.

Don't think I can get an NI address for delivery.

I've had the same grinder for 15 years now, Vario so can't really advise on your suggestions but I've heard good things about the Baratza Sette.

I think Niche have changed their Vat policy recently. Previously UK VAT was included in the price when purchasing from abroad - so essentially you were paying VAT twice. Now UK VAT is removed. So not a huge discrepancy in price between Ireland and the UK.

Baffled how they got away with that for so long.

Niche one of the finest grinders available, but if you only drink espresso/latte probably overkill.

Great espresso grinder for you . It is basically Mignon Specialta, only with single doze and no lcd screen.

It is actually could grind for the filter too, but unlike Niche it is hard enough to switch between espresso/filter settings .

Thanks very much for that link. Good to know that Niche could be overkill. I usually make double shot latte and a very odd Americano. I should use more filter but I don't. Always to the Sage for latte.
