Buying Patio Door & Windows - Aluclad v Aluminium - Which Supplier Carlson v McMahon and Nagel?

    We are unsure on whether to go Aluclad, which has a lower U Value (good) but some question the maintenance of the wood (bad) v Aluminium, which has a higher U value (bad) but is apparently maintence free (good) and visually better (good) but more expenseive (bad)..... any ideas?

    Also, the suppliers we are speaking to are Carlson and McMahon and Nagel, please PM me if you have anything good, bad or indifferent to say about either?
