Interesting Irish Films or TV dramas

    There's been a few threads on best Irish films - they tend to peter out quickly, possibly because we still think UK or US content is superior, or maybe just because a lot of people think Irish stuff is crap (not my personal view).

    Two questions:

    1. What is your favourite Irish film or TV series of all time?
    2. Why?

    Angela's Ashes or The wind that shakes the barley. Maybe the second one is down to nostalgia as I was a teen when it came out and there was a lot of hype about it.

    One of my favourites in recent years is The Dig, from 2018. Some great performances and beautiful cinematography. So contained and atmospheric.
