Accessing Tullan Strand beach

Apologies for what seems like an obvious question but how do you get down onto the sand at Tullan Strand?? If you follow the Tullan Strand road, it just leads to a gate which has a sign saying private land and no beach access. Do you access it from the other side/end??? thank yous!
