Hi

I just purchased the above box for use with a Sky satellite dish. The box was not preprogrammed. The Sky dish has two (lnb?) cables. I’ve tried connecting both separately to the box and scanning the recommended (via YouTube search) Astra satellite. While I get some channels, they are different depending on which cable is connected and don’t include most BBC and ITV channels and no free movie channels. Any ideas as to what I’m doing wrong.

Did you have Sky Q on this dish previously ? If so you would need to change the LNB on this dish to a standard LNB.

Im not sure tbh if I had Sky Q or not as I got rid of it over a year ago. Is there any way of telling from the LNB itself. It’s fairly accessible.

look at LNB and if it only has 2 outputs then its Sky Q. TAKE A PIC IF YOU CAN

Thanks both. It only has the 2 outputs so must be Sky Q and that’s where the issue must be. Is it easy enough to swap out?

Yes if you can access this dish its pretty straightforward. If you are going for a standard 40mm collar LNB i'd suggest also getting a sky dish adapter, they are cheap and it makes the job that much easier.

Was able to get a Quad LNB from screwfix that came with a bracket so sorted.
