Does anyone have experience of these dolly's as looking to use one in the shed. I picked one up a while back but even though the wheels are rated 100kg each x4 the bike does not move freely when on the dolly. The shed floor is covered in OSB

If it's bottoming out on a smooth floor then the one you have is not strong enough. What one have you? I have some German named one I got a good few tears ago and have moved 1000cc plus bikes on it no problem across a rough concrete floor.

I've a Becker Technik model. It'll move an 1150 adventure with a full 31L tank of petrol no problem. What's your floor covered in ?

    NM2

It doesn't bottom out but when the bike is loaded on it the dolly is difficult to manoeuvre to the point the bike nearly always comes off the centre stand . I picked up some new double wheel castors from CastorMart in Ballymount thinking it was possibly the original wheels but same story. Will pick up some ply and overlay it on the existing OSB board to see if it makes a difference but would be surprised if yours works on concrete .

Mine would not be as expensive as yours Sir Galahad, link as below. Debating if fitting some heavy duty slide rails rebated into the floor might be a better solution as I only need to push the bike to the side in the shed

For the dolly to work properly when fully loaded the ground must be "very" smooth.

I have one of those in the shed if you want to try it out first before you buy one.

I lined the floor with rubber mats the last few weeks so the dolly is no use anymore.

Thanks Robbie, I might take you up on that offer, which one do you have. Was looking at the one below if the plywood does nothing for the existing one I have. I surprised more of them don't have staggered wheel plates so the foot peg on the centre stand doesn't catch

Yes, as someone who builds floors using OSB, I can tell you those casters dollies won't work on it - probably not on ply, either. Floated floor concrete or a tiled floor, yes.

Those dollies will only work on smooth concrete or tile. They're great if that's what you've got as your shed floor. Real space saver!
