    Hi

I have a question regarding paying tax on trusts.

Do the beneficiaries of trusts in Ireland have to pay tax ?

Also, does the trust property have to pay tax before it pays out to the beneficiary?

    Thanks

Beneficiaries will have to pay Capital Acquisitions Tax, the timing of when this is due depends on the type of trust it is

The trust may have to pay tax, again depending on its structure

What's the situation if the trust is abroad and the beneficiary is at home or vice a versa? Are the tax implications the same?
