Is it worth it folks? Is there a physical SIM slot on US purchased handsets or would it be best just buying local?

There’s no issue with buying over there and using here. Saving yourself a couple of hundred euro on the price also.

I suppose what I should be asking is if the mainstream service providers over here all support E sim?

Vodafone definitely do as I’ve been using eSIM on a 14 pro max for over a year now with no issues. Best to check with your network provider before you buy.

You'd have to change to Vodafone. Vodafone are solid though, highly recommend. They do the eSIMs.

I just got an iPhone 13 in the US, partially for this reason. 14 and 15 are eSIM only over there. I didn’t want to be tied to Vodafone.
