Yesterday I was pulling out of a parking space and caught the back of my car against another car, just wondering would going at these with some T cut or something else be worthwhile or is it a garage repair job? Cheers!

T Cut is grand for light surface scuffs. If you can feel it with a fingernail it’s gone through and needs to be repaired properly. I presume you’re going to sort the other car too?

Run your nail along the scratches perpendicular, if it doesn't catch on any of them it'll polish out.

Rear bumper is plastic, use some all-in-one polish should make it look good from 10ft and blend it in so the light isn't showing it so much.

Could do a compound step beforehand to improve the end result.

I personally use Autoglym or Meguiars products but many other good options out there too.

    Definitely not a garage repair.

Hi all, cheers for the advice, gonna take a look at the products you recommended and check YouTube, some of the scratches catch under your nail but some don’t. And yes the other guy was reversing too and we hit each other, both were happy enough to let it go as damage to both cars was light. Probably barely going 1km/h. Thanks all!

A bit of polishing compound will definitely get the worst of it off

Sometimes it's actually buildup of material from other car and what can look and feel like a bad scratch will completely disappear.
