So I'm recently on JS and moneys a bit tight with Christmas n all.

I received a double payment on the 19th. The receipt states that my next payment is not until the 9th of Jan. Sorry if I'm missing something, but should the next payment not be on the 2nd?

    Many thanks.

Sorry to hear this. Did they give you a double payment previously? On top of whatever extra they give at Christmas.

Don't trust the receipt and go and collect it on your normal date - if not there then just contact them straight away and should get it sorted in a few days

Ignore the receipt, unless you somehow got a triple week?

Shouldn't have, but as above, just collect it as normal. You should have just received last weeks and this weeks. Apart from Monday being a BH, everything should be back to normal Tuesday. I'd also go early as alot of Post Office may not have alot of cash because of Christmas withdrawals etc. Just to make sure you get sorted :)

Usually the date on the receipt is the next date your due to sign on at the welfare office. Make sure to check if your due there on the 9th or payment will be suspended if you don't show up.
