I have an old Vu+ Duo running a stable Black Hole image that does just about everything I need, if a little slowly. It does HD, but not 4K, but no loss.

The only thing that is a bit ropy is live pause and rewind and autotimers can be a bit hit or miss.

Would the latest and greatest be a big jump given it is only used for freesat PVR and not anything else?

It is hooked up to a recent Samsung smart tv for all the apps and steaming stuff, and I have a HDD attached to it for recording from Irish FTA channels.

Would there be a big jump in any aspect of performance, quality or capability to go new?

Would have to be dual tuner.
