Hi Folks, looking to fox the flush on a spare toilet. Originally thought it was the lever/handle as it was loose and not working. Took lid off and now i can see that the rod that the hood connects to has come out. Any suggestions/tips. See image attached.

I didn't try too hard to find a good picture but imagine an oval flat plate with a rod attached to it. The rod goes up and through that hole you're pointing at.

If it becomes unhooked, the assembly just drifts down a few inches. Which looks impossible to get at.

But the funnel part of the siphon is open at the bottom. So you can put your hand under the dropped down plate and simply push it back up again.

Hard to describe but easy to do. Unless the rod has snapped and then you're in a bit more difficulty!
