    Hello,


    My partner has an open claim from a car crash in 2021. We were un aware there was an open claim until he renewed his insurance this year. The price was like 2800e which is madness but obv due to the open claim. Can someone explain what an open claim means? My partner has already received his payment from his insurance and the person he crashed into also received payment for their car as far as we are aware. Does open claim mean its waiting to go to court or what? Thanks!
