    Hi everyone,

Yesterday I had a builder out looking at our property to give us a quote for an extension. At the side of our house towards the back we have a public drain. See pics attached. It means when be demolish the current extension which has he wall you see in the pic at the left built at an angle so not to cover the drain. We were told by 2 other builders that we could not build over the drain & if we really wanted to we would have to apply for permission to do so. The builder yesterday however told us he could move it, no bother at all, nothing to him. It will just be moved over, there will still be access & it wouldn't even go noticed. I was surprised by this but he seemed sure.

Does this sound okay? Does anyone know if this is true ? Are we just been told something that yes he can do but it will come back to haunt us.

    Thanks in advance
