Replacement Gas Tube

Hey folks,

We have a gas hob in the house, with the barrel outside. I noticed this morning a slight hissing coming from the tube outside where the barrel is, which means there's likely a hole in it.

I can buy the replacement tube in any hardware, but does it have to be replaced by a gas installer, or can I just replace it?

Sorry now but that whole post doesn't read like you know an awful lot about it. Get a competent person to look at it.

Tube, as-in gas pipe?

Is there a smell of leaking gas at all or could it just be a valve hissing?

Anyway, all gas-related work must be completed by an RGI, no DIY is allowed on it at all, even if it's Daniel.

Thanks, but Ive replaced these in my home house in the past. Its not a difficult job. I just wasnt sure if it was allowed anymore.
