    Hi folks,

    A family member was involved in an RTA a few years ago which they were awarded recently compensation payment.

    All parties accepted and the order to pay was issued at the end of November. I’m just wondering has any experience in how long it usually takes to be paid by an insurance company?

    They are basically wondering what the prospect of getting it before Xmas is. Neither of us could find anything beyond “they usually do it immediately” when searching online.

    Also is there a timeframe imposed with an order to pay? For example they had 28 days I think to accept the offer PIAB put forward.
