    Hi All,

failed the NCT - 2007 Passat with the following:

Front suspension worn wishbone bushes (offside front foremost)

brake line/hoses - unsatisfactorily mounted or misplaced (offside front right)

shock absorber - showing signs of obvious leakage (nearsiderear)

    Needs a new tyre also.

Is all of the above small enough or considerable amount of work? Also would anyone Know roughly how much to repair all of the above (from non dealership/local mechanic).

just trying to figure out if I should keep putting money into a 16 year old car (I’m the second owner of the car and it has 206k km on the clock).

Any advice much appreciated - thank you

cheap fix ,bushes probably cost 20 euro max, would you have to replace both shocks probably still probably 500-700 all in .what would you buy with it and still end up repairing it!!!

Yeah get her sorted and retest, will be a good tight driving car, won't be worth saving the money on the repairs to take chances buying again.

Thanks for the replies. Yes it’s a 1.6 FSI and has served me fairly well to date. Sits in the drive for the most part as it’s not used for work commutes so yearly mileage is relatively low.

All consumable parts so shouldn't be too expensive.

Main cost will be the labour
