Same model different pattern tyre

    Hi,

Fitted fairly expensive 4 new tyres on my car 2 years ago, same brand, model etc.

Meanwhile one of them got damaged and had to replace it.

Went to the garage, asked them if they have the exact same one, said they can order one in.

Few days later brought the car over, replaced the tyre, briefly glanced if they are the same model & the DOT and left.

Washing the car today I noticed they didn't fit the exact same tyre but the same brand, same main model name but not the model extension name,

the one they fitted is the exact same model but for 2023, mine were in 2021, so they have different thread pattern.

Question here is, should I replace the 2nd perfectly fine tyre on the same axle?

I wouldn’t panic about it too much. What car is it?

Thinking the same here, have only done about careful 8tkm on the other one in a little under 2years so not too eager to throw it in the bin yet, as much as I dislike the sight of it now.

It's a4 avant, front wheel drive, it's on 18", these ones are on the back.

I am guessing I can't have any NCT issues with this?

    You won’t have NCT issues.
