I am looking to buy 4 of the above lamp posts on donedeal.

They are usually arounf €500 a piece new.

Bit wary of buying from donedeal but I figure most of the cost here is in the cast iron lamp post itself.

Is there anything specific I would need to check in terms of the electrics before buying them?

Hi! Are they architectural salvage and hence true cast-iron, or are they modern imitations made of aluminum?

Most can be easily rewired by pulling suitable wire up, securing it and then terminating it as normal into a lamp holder and earthing off the cast.

So not a huge amount to check in my mind other than to visually inspect the lamp holder and check for an earthing point.
