Combi boiler frequent low pressure (f37)

I have a Feroli New Elite 60 F24 that is shutting down dring he night due to low pressure. No leaks found

I repressured the pressure vessel to 1bar and heard air hissing out of valve. I thightened valve and it held 1bar. No low pressure shutdowns since and no water added. No air appears to be escaping.

The LCD pressure reading is still going down to .6bar ( hydrometer showing 1bar). I don't recall it going below .9bar before.

Is there anything else obvious that could be causing the low pressures before I call in a plumber?

Hi! Surely you should add water to the system if its low rather than pumping the pressure vessel?

I would pump the pressure vessel to around 1.2 bar and then add water to bring the system up to 1.5bar, then monitor it and see how she goes.

Thanks, I have been looking at the pressure and it seems to be gradually dipping below 1bar on the hydrometer. No f37 alerts though.

Before adding air, I had been adding water but its not a long term solution if over a few days you are waking up a cold boiler and house due to auto shut off due to low pressure over night

Since adding air to the pressure vessel (it was just .3bar before I did) I have not had to add water. It actually auto started without adding water. This is one of the things online videos say to do if there is no obvious loss of water from a leak.

What is odd is why it's falling back to .6bar in the display but is higher on the hydrometer. Pressure is leaking out somewhere, albeit slowly.

Not sure what to add here except to say that if the leak is on the pressure vessel's valve you'll might be able to detect it with soapy water; if it's in the vessel's membrane then you should have water escaping the valve, but if it's elsewhere then a dose of sealant into the system should resolve it for a reasonable period.

A normal boiler does lose pressure by itself over time, but that should be over an 8 month season, not a couple of days.

Agreed. It is gradually loosing pressure again, about .05bar per week, but no low pressure shut off in two weeks.

I have checked all valves for leaks but found none I think it may be the pressure relief valve on boiler is weeping a bit.

The main thing is it's working!
