Looking to get a mortgage or large loan using my apartment as an asset

    Hi,

A 2 bed apartment came into my ownership from an inheritance this year.

I'm currently renting it out, but am strongly considering using it to raise capital that I can use elsewhere.

I don't have much insight or experience with this side of finances.

Is there any first port of call that people would recommend, or reputable independent financial advisers.

Or any obvious pros & cons of a looking for a large loan vs a mortgage.

I'm assuming the rates for the mortgage over its lifetime would be cheaper than a loan.

Another factor in my decision making is timeframe, i.e the quicker I get the funds the better
