Do wifi security cameras use a lot of bandwidth or data? Connecting to hotspot

Was looking at something to mount on my front door.

I use my mobile hotspot for wifi, so first - would there any issue connecting to that?

Second, does it use a lot of data?

I'm limited to so many GB per month.

BUT, I think that camera is motion activated, so presumably it wouldn't be on all the time, only when someone enters the doorway.

Anyone experience with or knowledge of this setup?

I got that camera.

Turns out the main issue is that the app only runs on a mobile.

Is there no wifi camera where its controlling/interphase app can be installed on ones computer or laptop?

This is what I need cause then I can just use my phone hotspot as a wifi router.
