    Hi all.

Recently noticed Clear mobile has changed setting on phone.

I can no longer hot spot from my phone, I can not use the Internet while making a call.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

I have a clearmobile in a router on top of a mountain and it is working fine.

Mine is on the phone so when I nake a call my Internet drop out, clear say they don't let you do calls and Internet search at same time

I'm going to guess that your phone doesn't support VoLTE - the ability to make calls while connected to a 4G/5G network - or is incompatible with how Clear are doing it

This means your phone will drop down to 2G - the bulk of the Vodafone 3G network has been turned off, and that's what Clear use - to take/make calls and hence disconnects the 4G/5G data.

You were probably falling back to 3G which does calls and data before it was turned off in your area.

That's what clear has said but the Internet shuts off completely. When it comes back it starts off on Edge. If I settle phone to 3g only it works fine, when set to 5g, lte,3g, 2g auto connect it turns off internet when on call

That's what I'd expect. Normal phone calls don't exist on 4G (LTE) or 5G; the phone is dropping to 2G which usually has no data services.

You'll need to either figure out if the compatibility is fixable or get a new phone - 3G will be going away.
