Car cutting out

Can anybody give me an idea of what is wrong with my car? It starts fine but when I stop at a junction or slow down for a bend it cuts out. It will start again after about 30 seconds. It's a 1.6 Ford Mondeo 151 🙏

Could be anything really so very difficult to diagnose it on the internet.
My first suggestion would be to have it connected up to a diagnostic computer and see if any fault codes have been logged by the car's ECU. These codes might point your mechanic to where to start looking.

Long ago, I had a 2001 Zafira that did that. Every time the rpms dropped to ~1000, the engine would cut off. That car was burning oil, and the EGR valve had become sticky with the burnt gunk.
