iPhone 7 Bluetooth broken - built in obsolescence?

I googled this and apparently it is because the phone and Bluetooth share the same atennna, but found nothing else. Is there any fix, apart from WEEE, and shelling out for a new one?

The phone is 7 years on the market and doesn't get full security updates. It is actually obsolete and likely not worth the cost of any repair

Yikes. Thanks. How long does it take for an iPhone to become obsolete? Or what iPhone will last another few years?

I got 6 years out of my iPhone 8 Plus if that's any help? Bought new in October 2017 and retired it last month due to battery degradation and it not receiving full updates anymore.
