Socket and insulation

Can anyone advise on fitting a socket onto interior insulation 50mm...

I wanted to put a panel heater in the hall, on the cold north facing wall because there is no radiator at all in the hall and its very cold... I'm trying to do all I can to remedy a humidity issue. I've already got a ventilation unit. So I'm trying to heat the place as best I can.

Panel heater chosen because its slimline.. Restricted space..

It's like stepping into a fridge, coming from the living room into the hall..

Is fitting a socket an issue because of the insulation?

    Any advice welcome. Thank you.

Sockets can be fitted into insulated plasterboard as long as a suitable back-box is fitted, or can be fitted onto the plasterboard using a surface mounted back-box. Are you able to run the wire behind the insulation or how do you plan on getting it there?

Here's a dry lining box for example:

If the wire will be run in the insulation then it may cause the circuit to be de-rated, but an electrician would be best placed to advise on what level of derating would be required depending on the length of wire covered by insulation. This would be especially critical as you're considering running a high power device such as a panel heater.

You can drop it down in surface trunking and surface box, no issues there
