Yeah, the shop, in town, suggested painting it? Think he was mentally rubbing his hands, as he spoke of Primers and such. This is for outside, where I already have black cables running.

In all honesty? If it'd gonna be This much of a nightmare? I may well end up just ditching the flex I bought, from there, and looking for some more, in Black. Probably won't cost me a whole ton more than the hidden, black trunking I need to hide the white flex :|

The Flex? Really just to run power to a couple of those waterproof plug sockets. Be nice to have power, outside my gate. Somewhere to plug a drill in, what ever. Save the drama of messing about with cable reels through windows and so on.

I just Know I couldn't live with a bright, white line, up there with my black flexes and guttering. I'd sooner pay now than live in misery and anger, till I rip any white stuff down and buy black anyway 😄

Would you consider using a more appropriate SWA armored cable rather than flex? That would mean that you can avoid installing trunking and the risks with weaker cable and such. It would need to be earthed and terminated correctly though.

10-10-20; It's okay 😁 This stuff's to just run along the wall, beneath the gutter. Guts of seven foot off the ground. Cables have been there for ever.

Once it U turns, down to human height, it'll go through the one inch, hard, black plastic piping that we run tractors and trucks over. That's already in place, as it happens. Carrying the electric fences 'Underground Cable' out there.

I only want trunking for the Visual aspect. I have to live with **** like this. When I wanted my stables reroofed, I was quoted '€X', for white sheets. Highly recommended. Because the army Green stuff was €XXX more.

I don't notice that lovely, green roof, when I walk out my door 🙂 Nor would you, if ye were cruising along the road, a mile away, looking for it.

Not seeing much external black trunking (needs to be UV safe to prevent it from rotting in the sun) when googling. Maybe spray-painting white stuff would do what you need?

Yeah. That's being suggested. I'll spray the odd thing. Thirty foot of a very skinny target though? 😬 That's why I'd honestly rather just Buy the bloody stuff.

I have seen the 'D' shaped gear. In black. Doesn't look That bad. I just tend to get an objective fixed in my head. Then, I refuse to back down. I've even seen this stuff ~ Black, Square Trunking ~ available. Just that it's about three times the width that I need.

And, now that I've said that? I guess I could always get That. Screw it to the wall. Rip off the other two cables 'stapled' on there and put all Three in the big stuff? It's just that that would seem a bit like a climb down, for me.

Probably Look a load better ..... Now I come to think of it 🤔 Hmm. Let me sleep on it. Tomorrow, I'll go out and stare at what we've got there, with that in mind.

There's usually a Reason, if I can't get what I want. Maybe this is it? 😂 Christ! Be my luck, wouldn't it? Go to the ends of the earth, to find this black stuff. Hide my wire in it. Then, stand back, staring at the two, wonky black cables someone else put up there. And think; 'God! Those uncovered cables look bloody awful ....!'

Thanks, Meercat. As per my last post; I actually went out and examined the situation, on the wall. Yep. It would look Ridiculous, having One 16mm trunk. And two 'Hideous', wonkily stapled on, black cables! I'm gonna go with the (Seemingly well enough available?) Much bigger / wider, black trunking.

But, for now? I've got to vent! LOL! Just switched my phone on, to check something? " Surprise, Muvva Fu.....!!! " 😱 I am in it So deep! I think a bit of wire, outside my front door is probably the Last of my concerns, right now!!!
