    I can see your images working just fine. Are you on desktop or mobile? Is there a specific post that's not working otherwise?

    I can't see the image in this post, I think most links stopped worked after the move to Vanilla.

    I'm on Android if that makes a difference.

    That's curious. On the specific opening post of that thread, https://www.boards.ie/discussion/2058118369/stair-regulation-for-first-step/p1 I can see the image just fine in Firefox on desktop PC. And the other images also work fine for me. Could you try Firefox on your phone? Or any other browser?

    This is Firefox:

    And Brave:

    Could it be because you're a mod? Or maybe it shows on a PC but not mobile?

    By comparison I see:

    I wonder if Vanilla is doing this for mobile/responsive platforms, if it's not browser specific. It's not mod related, there's no such permissions for user groups like that.

    I'm on mobile and can't see them.

    I've reported this in the bugs thread. It must be a desktop vs mobile thing caused by vanilla.

    From what I can remember from dropbox and posting links you need to edit links from

    <https://www.dropbox.com/s/rnd85x99nabphbc/Screenshot_2016-09-26-17-43-48-236_com.android.settings.png?dl=0>

    to

    <https://dl.dropbox.com/s/rnd85x99nabphbc/Screenshot_2016-09-26-17-43-48-236_com.android.settings.png>

    Changing the start and end of the url. But with the change to vanilla that doesn't work anymore.

    Wow, thanks for all the help from you guys :) some heavyweight posters in here

    Well at least the error is different now on the original link , the forum post is not loading, only this error now

    "ERROR 9419: Requested image URL has invalid syntax or is not allowed

    but the direct link still works (right click and open in new tab)

    Morning all,

    I have got a response back from Vanilla on this issue explaining the problem with the links and how to input dropbox images.

    "Due to the link being shared by your community user being a dropbox.com link, our Cloudflare Image Resizer attempts to resize the image to the most optimal view experience on a per device basis. The dropbox.com image link pasted by the user is showcasing essentially a preview that would then be clicked onto to view the entire image at the root URL. This looks to be causing some issue when the community user shares their images this way.

    Can you request that your users copy the image onto their local device/machine and upload it to the Vanilla CDN through the Rich textbox image upload option? This can be done by attaching the image onto their posts instead of pasting solely the dropbox link itself.

    When our image resizer attempts to access the URL shared, in this instance a dropbox URL, it runs into permission issues and is unable to resize, which is causing the URL to surface and showcase as broken when copying the URL on the image. This is typically expected a CDN image link but for this instance it was a dropbox link.

    The Cloudflare image resizer does this for all images on community sites, to aid in optimal loading and viewing experiences for users".

    So, going forward you can edit the link as suggested by corkie or alternatively you can copy and save the image to your own device and upload from there using "upload image" button on the bottom left of any comment box on site.

    Thanks,

    Mike.

    Thanks for the detailed response. These were working for years, but I see it won't work any longer with Cloudflare.

    Testing Corkie's idea .... Nope as he said it doesn't work with Vanilla.

    My only option is to upload the images with the icon when starting a new thread, but all my images from my existing posts are gone now 😥
