We have applied to two primary schools in our area for our child for September 2024. One is close but very hard get in to due to the high number of applications. The other is further away and not near as convenient as the first.

We've been offered a place in the second school and are still waiting to hear back from the first. What happens if we accept the offer from the second school which isnt as convenient etc and then get accepted into the first school which is the one we really want to get the child into?

You just contact the first school and tell them you won't be accepting the place after all.

If you aren't taking the place up, please do let the school know immediately, others may be very glad of it.
