I'm trying to make small changes to be more environmentally friendly so I thought why not install a Bidet and cut down on the amount of toilet paper used.

Has anyone here installed one before, I presume I need to replace the top part of the water inlet pipe with a T-junction?

I presume that this is something that someone with a set of spanners and some patience can do or will I need a plumber to come in and do it?
