Hi my central heating system has a EPH s plan plus system consisting of 3 motorised valves ( hot water, up stairs and down stairs heating) 3 channel programmer, one wired hot water cylinder stat, two wireless room stats and a gateway for Wi-Fi.

I'm looking to install smart TRVs on all my rads is there any options out there that would be compatible with my existing installation? Or would I have to overhaul room stats and gateway etc.

    thanks

I have EPH Ember 3 zone. I also installed Danfoss Ally smart TRVs and Danfoss Ally thermostat / humidity sensor in each room.

Each TRV can be set to its individual temperature. You can program in three separate temperatures into each TRV. This allows you to use three different temperatures at different times of the day /night. Temperature can be adjusted by as little as half a degree at a time. Each TRV has its own timer so you can set it to come on /off dozens of times a day if you want.

You need ember app and Ally app but they work with Google Home for basic functions.

You probably won't need the Danfoss room sensors. A TRV can be paired with a room sensor. The advantage here is that TRVS are too close to the heat source to give accurate readings. Room sensor gives better temperature control. A room with two rads can use the sensor to control both rads. The sensor is also great for TRVS that may be blocked by furniture / curtains etc.

Danfoss Ally TRVs aren't cheap though. Last time I looked they were around €80 each. You will also need a gateway
