Hi I've a BMW f10 5 series 2011 with angel eyes (side lights) and the drivers one has stopped working due to moisture issue. I've my NCT upcoming and simple question is that a failure item for NCT? Main lights, indicators etc. all perfect.

Yes it will be a failure, if it's fitted it needs to work.

Yes absolutely it will be a fail 😢. It's a necessity to have all lights working.

ok thanks, ive re-booked NCT so have time to get it fixed. I replaced TMS module and few months ago myself but moisture still in there - want to get it repairs but not spend €2k replacing whole unit.

Right-hand side BMW F10 2010-2013 Bi-Xenon headlights on eBay for 250 euros mate

I've never changed a headlight on a BMW but done many on an Audi and it isn't a big job at all

It's a visual retest for sidelights I think so if you can't get it fixed in time for your date you're better off putting it through and it failing on that. You just show up then within a certain time frame (28 days?) and they'll just see its working and give you the cert without retesting the whole car (no charge).

For moisture if you can get a hairdryer to it before you go in you can sort it temporarily at least to pass the test.
