    Hi everyone,

Saw in my oven today a small thin metal bar hanging out in the centre of the oven.

It's behind the rack so never noticed it.

Anyone able to identify what it might be?

    Dangerous etc?

    Excuse state of oven

    Any help appreciated

Ok, should it be there? Or behind cooker? Not sure how it would've come out that tiny hole?

It's in the right place, shold be clipped onto the wall of the oven though; (about 2 mins in)

If anyone can see where I might clip it back, can you let me know?

Can't see anything like the video that it clicks into!

looking at the pic you have up there is quite a bit of rust going on and most likely the clip has disintegrated, if you can find some copper wire like the earth wire on 2.5 twin and earth cable, strap it to the back panel but be careful not to kink the capillary pipe (wire like end) or you will damage the stat

you will only need a few inches to strap it to the back panel, try your local electrical shop
