I heard someone say on one of these building programs in the UK that they were going to replace their kerosene central heating boiler with a high efficiency better for the environment electric boiler.

So I checked the BTU of our boiler which is 70-90,000 BTU - and done a conversion and that works out to 21-26 Kw of power - so even a 9kw shower takes a lot of juice and if you had 2 that would be 18kw and in most houses you would not be able to run 2x 9kw shower at the same time and would have to fit a priority switch in the fuseboard/consumer unit .... so how would they run a 26kw electrical boiler!!
