Cold water boosting system

    Hi,

We have a combination boiler and need to boost the mains cold water pressure in the house.

We looked at different quiet home booster pumps which don’t take up much space, such as Stuart Turner Mainsboost VariQ, the DBS Mini pumps or the Grundfos Scala 2. The reviews we could find all more or less report leakage after one or two year usage.

Have you got any experience with those pumps or with the Aquabox cold water boosting system https://aquaboxsystems.com/ and can provide a recommendation?

Are you proposing to boost the mains pressure, or receive mains into a storage tank and pump from there? Where will you locate it?

The later would be the way to go. Scala2 is a decent pump. There were some issues in the past, but I think that is well ironed out now.

Also worth looking at DAB EsyBox mini 3. (Also made by Grundfos)

Thanks for your reply. It's either a home booster pump installed near the combination boiler or the aquabox with a submersible pump in the attic - not sure if it can be installed in the attic. We are looking for something that is fairly qiet.
