Zoe and electric bikes

    Hello knowledgeable folks,

I have a 2021 Renault Zoe and 2 electric bikes to transport. I currently take the front wheels off and put them in the boot with the seats down. It works, but it’s a faff.

Can anyone recommend a solution to transport them? Being electric, the carrier will need a load bearing capacity of at least 40 kg. I am getting conflicting reports of tow bars and would love to know what others have done.

    Thanks muchly :-)

Are the batteries easily removed from the bikes? Without the batteries, the weight would be significantly reduced and a normal rear rack would do the job. Otherwise, you should probably ask for advice from somewhere like 360 cycles or bikeracks.ie
