Riello f40 only fires when choked - Resolved

    Hi lads,

    Have a warmflow 50/90 boiler in the shed with a riello rdb burner.

    It was serviced last in late 2021.

    Had the burner running today and noted after a while that heat had died down, went out to the shed, power still going tonthe biloiler but not firing.

    I attempted to reset the burner but it went into lockout.

    I put my hand over the air intake when trying to fire again and it fired up, and stayed running when i removed my hand from the air intake.

    Tried to fire it normally again afterwards and just goes to lockout.

    Any idea?

    I am going to open up the boiler before the weekend to clean the baffles anyway as I'm sure it's probably full of soot and needs a clean.


    Update:

    Turns out it's not an RDB, But an F40 burner.

    The photocell had a small bit of soot on it, a quick wipe and off she went.
