IW Connection

    Hi folks, Donegal here

Got confirmation of feasibility today from IW, for context my site is the 2nd last site on a cul-de-sac of sorts and the water main goes right alongside our site to the last house, however IW claim that they need to connect to the main from almost 250m further back down the road from the map provided on the confirmation email. The council sub contracted out the job of bringing the main up this road due to lack of resources many moons ago when it was part of a group scheme and I believe IW don't have the correct maps to reflect this. I told this to the council rep who came out to do an initial inspection a few weeks back and he said it's no problem but the message mightn't have been passed on correctly. Is it possible that I can explain the scenario to them directly and save myself a small fortune in connection fees? Any suggestions or experiences welcome.

    Thanks in advance!
