Am I Wasting Money?

Hi. Internet isn't really my thing so sorry if this is a silly question.

I'm paying for 500Mb (along with housemates) with VM. None of us use wired, only wireless. Is that a waste of money? Will we get the exact same wireless speed if we downgrade to 250Mb?

Nope, you won't get the same speed. But will you notice a difference, not likely.

For me what's important is a stable network, anything over 100 should be fine depending on your household usage.

Are the savings significant? If you're splitting the cost with a few housemates probably not so much. If a few housemates WFH is it worth the effort to save a few euro and potentially anoy housemates.

Yes I believe 500mbps is the new minumum entry speed to the service.

Not really significant savings especially split between a few people. I think I just resent paying VM €73 a month for internet.

Yeh, that's expensive. Could you switch provider for a better deal or even call VF telling them you want to cancel your service and see if they offer you any deal.
