So i was looking at getting an M2 MBpro.

From the various rumour websites, I gleaned that an update was on the cards, so I waited till the M3 was announced, thinking that they would reduce the price of the M2.

What happened.... The M2 mbpros vanished from the apple store..

    Will they reappear?

They've vanished?! I just bought one last week. Arrived in less than 24 hours. I have to go check.

Edit: You're right, only M3 there. Very strange! I needed one now so couldn't wait for M3 thinking it would only be out mid-2024.

So.. from what I can deduce.. there is no difference between the new and old machines.. other than the different chip.

So it looks like the m2 MBpro won't be ever be back.

    Here's a couple of comparisons:

There's some slight differences in addition to a different chip, as far as I can tell but nothing too meaningful to a regular user.

No doubt M2 Macbook Pro will still be available at various retailers for a while. I don't really feel that disappointed that I got mine right before M3 came out. In some ways it might even be better than M3 but the differences are small.
