Boxing in pipes

    Doing up a bedroom. A lot of old pipes that look unsightly

    Any advice on boxing theses? What wood size looks best? I will paint up white again.

    2x1 with ply over them.

    Slip in a piece of insulation behind the pipes to keep the heat out of the external walls, then either a 2x1 or 2x2 into the wall above the pipe and another at floor-level so that it comes out just further than the pipes, then ply (as @Pinoy adventure said) down to the floor. Finish it off with a rounded edge on all edges. Decide whether you want exposed screw-heads or not.
