You tend to get what you pay for from SD.

Donnay is probably one of those brand named that is now owned by Mike Ashley, where buyers think they are buying a reputable brand but its just the cheapest of the cheap. SD have a lot of these brands now.

If you are in SD you see all these old brands which are strangely low in price, alongside brands like Nike or Adidas so you might think something is a good deal. I got something there and found out this issue so returned it and got some other underarmour and adidas stuff, which was very cheap. They have a discounted rail, things left are usually XS, XL or XXL XXXL etc.

I noticed the Adidas t-shirts they sell are poor quality too, not a patch on t-shirts I used to buy in Heatons before SD bought them out!

It's a strategy that the brands all use in the States. They have Outlet Malls all over the country, and they sell lower quality product than in other shops. The brands make clothes/shoes just for outlet stores.

Try finding a pair of Adidas Superstars in sports direct. Then try finding whatever Adidas shoes they have in sports direct on adidas.ie

Well I was in SD yesterday and would have bought a pair of Supernova+ had they had them in my size.

Reduced from £99 to £50.

I think I'd find these on Adidas website if I looked.

I see a cheap adidas t-shirt, 9.60 allegedly down from 30, but could be due to a slow selling colour, the name "essentials" suggest it could be lower value, like supermarket "everyday essential cheese" or similar.

Plenty of Adidas shoes on SportsDirect are on the Adidas website as well. Supernovas, Adios Pro 3, Takumi Sen 8 and 9, Boston 10 and 11, Run Falcon, Ultraboost, Solarglide, Pureboost, Adistar. Some of those I didn't even need to look them up on the Adidas website because I know they will have them. I have also seen others like the Adios 7 and Adios 8 in store before a while ago. Some of those like the Adios Pro 3, Takumi Sen 8 and 9 and Adios 7 and 8 are their high end running shoes. Do you really think Adidas are gonna damage their brand with runners by selling low quality versions of their high end running shoes.
