My flat felt roof has a water tank on top of it and there the pipe from the water tank comes through the roof and into copper cylinder in hot press - water is also leaking through when it rains. How best do you think I could repair this ?

Will I buy a roll of felt in B&Q and Glue for the felt and wrap this around the pipe ? (so then hopefully no water get through)

Will I seal where the water pipe and felt currently meet with tec 7 or silicone ?

I want to do temporary fix now and re-do with felt next year....

    Any others ideas please? Thanks

Try Lava 20 repair kit. If your roof is in reasonable condition and you think that the leak is just where the pipe comes through the roof then consider Lava 20 roof repair kit. It comes with about a gallon of lava 20, small bottle of primer, 4 inch tape and some matting. I have used it before and it's easy to apply. Make sure roof area is clean and dry then apply the primer. If there are any large cracks or gaps you may need a tube of PU mastic to fill gaps. Brush or roll on first layer of lava around area. Cut supplied tape to form a bandage around pipe. apply another layer of lava 20 over the tape. Let lava 20 cure for at least two hours and then re-apply another coat. That should fix the problem. There's loads of videos online about the product - google owl lava 20. Dooley timber stock the product and have good deals on lava 20.
