    Q1. Ref Tank Connector pic attached. Do I need to use jointing compound or washer with this. Connecting to a plastic tank.

    Q2. Are the pipe inserts required when using the push-fit connections or just with brass compression fittings?

    Personally I'd have gone with compression both ends.

    I would use washers inside & outside the tank. I've never understood why they are sold separately. They should come with the fitting imo.

    No insert if using copper pipe. Plastic insert needed for push in fittings when using qualpex. Metal insert is better on qualpex when using compression fittings
