Carpet & Underlay Tog Value - UFH

    Hi, I've looking at ordering and installing new underlay and carpet upstairs.

    The tog value for underlay and carpet combined should no more that 1.5 for UFH?

    Am I right in saying that?

    2.5 is the max that most carpet manufacturers recommend. 1.5 is the ideal, pretty much all products will have the tog listed on the product data (a lot of the time on the labels in the shops as well). Most underlays designed for underfloor heating will have a tog of under .80

    This is a common request, pretty much all carpet stores will point you in the right direction when you are in.
