Thyroid -advice needed

I believe I have an under active thyroid, I have gone to doctors for years to get blood tests and they all came up normal however I went to a doctor who has since retired (this was pre COVID) who ordered an ultrasound for my thyroid as she said I have most of the symptoms - brain fog, poor hair/nails, god awful circulation, weight gain, and low energy plus it also runs on both sides of my family. The ultrasound showed a "nodule" which was probably affecting the thyroid itself but was too small to operate on and told me I would just have to live with it. I have gone to another doctor and they won't do anything other than take bloods even though everything is getting worse. Can anyone please suggest supplements or treatments that have helped them in this situation? I know iodine is supposed to be good. Many thanks!!

    Go see a specialist.

Make an appointment with an endocrinologist in your local hospital, explain your issues & let them treat you if they think your case warrants it. Please don’t start taking something because you heard it’s good.

I thought you need a referral for an endocrinologist and my doctor won't give me one. I want to find another doctor but they are all full where I am and can't take on more patients although one said to contact them again in January.

Get a private appointment with an endocrinologist in whatever hospital is local to you. Once you’ve seen them once privately if needed you can see them afterwards in the public clinic.

Don’t panic yourself about this stuff. If you have a legit thyroid issue they’ll see it & be able to treat you for it.
