Agricultural consultant fees

What have others paid this year for the new "Biss, criss, anc & eco scheme applications submitted by their agri advisor.

Received a text from planner earlier in the year ahead of application time, that fees would be increasing this year due to the " complexity " of the new schemes application.

Had being previously been charged €125 annually Inc vat for the previous schemes application going back some year's now.

This year it has doubled to €250 Inc vat. Same land area (50 hectares).no changes on the land farmed from my perspective & no arrears or other work since last year's application.

    Interested to hear others cost.

I just submit the application myself as in fairness its very straight forward and money is too hard to come by in farming to be throwing it away to advisors.

Was bad enough having to pay them to do the ACRES application when most people would have been capable of doing it themselves.

Sorry for the rant and not answering the question you asked but just feel strongly about it.

I think €550 for BISS etc., and €800 and €900 for two other schemes. Twas fun paying that bill 🤐

Others are cheaper, how & ever others deliberately gave me advice which lead to me not getting into REPS4 and missing probably €55k.

€350 incl Vat, he’s a private guy. I was with Teasgasc last year they were a good bit cheaper but I’d prefer to put a match to the place than deal with them again. I don’t mind paying a bit extra because he actually answers the phone etc. and is very thorough in what he does, and ensures he knows exactly what he’s talking about before telling you something. If I’d taken the advice from one of the Teasgasc lads last year I’d be f****d for ever. Anyway €250 seems good imo.

Did the schemes you mention. And you have no land changes. It would take the adviser anywhere from 5-15 minutes to make your application.

I rang my advisor today about acres. He said there was no point in submitting. A plan last year and the govt ended up taking in the full 40k submissions.

rang him today and he had as much interst in discussing and looking to at options for the acres 2 submission. As Johnny sexton has of looking at Tomo semi final.

hard to get anybody to do anything these days
