Putting this up here in case it's of any use to anyone, for a hack project or whatever. If not it'll get recycled.

Planet X Uncle John frameset, well worn and with a couple of dents. Aluminium frame which was already slightly dented when I got it (on Adverts about 8 or 9 years ago) and served me extremely well as a commuter for a few years. Haven't used it since covid and I've cannibalised most stuff off it since.

Size is probably 58 (I'm 6'2 and fits me well)... forgot to look when I was taking the pics. Can confirm if there's any interest.

Bottom bracket is threaded and was replaced not that long before I stopped using the bike.

Frame was originally a CX frame, and I wasn't at all keen on the cantilever brakes, so I replaced them with mini-Vs. Still in good nick I think.

Haven't decided whether I'll keep the bars yet. I don't have a need for them really.

Not really interested in breaking it up.

    Collection from Leixlip.

Jeez how did I miss this?!You have to be up early /late to catch the worm round here !Im from Leixlip and had a Planet X Uncle John and my name is John !!!Still ,all fair in love ,war and boards....and Im trying to sell a training bike at the moment anyway (BH aluminium with carbon fork on adverts ) and its probably a tiny bit too big for me .

Great yoke, do anything bike ,by no means slow in its day, but the brakes are a curse to set up and keep right and dont stop well either(but could have been my roadie lack of non calliper brake maintenance skills) .Got mine from Morgan Fox in Athlone when he was PX importer on Bike to Work.
