Starter on Honda Accord 2012

Silly questions but does anyone know where the starter is located, and can it be accessed from the top ? The starter is stuck on mine so just want to hit it a slap see if ive any luck.

Doubt its the starter - there was a recall on these for ignition switches failing and the car failing to start.

Was the starter, the brushes were completely wore in the starter got it sorted.

Incase anyone is ever in a similar situation the starter is next to impossible to get at outside of a jack and from underneath!

Id ring your local Honda dealer and ask if the car was affected by the recall. The problem was the starter was staying engaged and burning starters out.

I was lucky I got mine reconditioned by. A friend but woulda been 400 if it was a new one! I'll give em a ring be interesting to see, thanks.

They wouldnt cover the starter anyway but if its covered under the recall and the ignition switch is replaced at least it wont burn out a new or recon starter motor.
